Links Sort by: Date | Hits | AlphabeticalAnother missing padlock SSL question October 31, 2007 04:59:02Hey guys,
So I have been through thread after thread and I am still not able to come up with a correct answer, wondering if someone can help? I purchased a certificate from RapidSSL and have been using it with my discountasp.net account. Discountasp took care of the installation.
So I decided to just upload a blank page just to see if everything is working, problem is no padlock icon is displayed and puzzeled how this could be as there is pretty much nothing... - [ Read more] |
Any freeBSD and PF users got a minute? September 5, 2008 22:33:37I am trying a freebsd server with PF to use the syn-proxy feature. I been reading up on all docs and man pages lately but I wont have much room for trial and error as the server I am trying this on does not have any remote reboot and I would be locked out a few hours if something happened.
So if anyone has any example rulesets for PF using the syn-proxy feature or without is fine too. I have never had a freebsd server, I done some reading on PF and syn-proxy and it looks... - [ Read more] |

Anyone have experience with Spam Experts (or competitors?) September 4, 2008 17:11:24Ive been using SpamAssassin (ConfigServers MailScanner setup) for a couple years now. Its decent, but clients are starting to complain about false-positives if the settings are too stringent, and false-negatives when they are too lax!
I know no solution is perfect, but its evident that my client base is outgrowing what SpamAssassin has to offer.
Ive researched several options like Postini or Barracuda, but I have several hundred email aliases on my own domain,... - [ Read more] |
anyone know a good mailing list or RSS feed for linux software releases? September 1, 2008 13:31:18I have just recently set up a CentOS server for testing during development and would like to keep the applications on it up to date to avoid bugs or any security problems.
I have seen distrowatch recommend freshmeat, but according to that site php 5.2.5/4.4.8 are the latest stable releases when they arent!
Anyone know of a good feed or mailing list for software updates? Looking to subscribe to updates for Apache 2, PHP 5, Git, MySQL, phpMyAdmin, etc... - [Read more] |

Apache Crashing due to 500 sessions to 0.0.0.0 August 19, 2008 00:50:49Hey everyone
I am having an issue with Apache on my cpanel server crashing. When I look up the the sessions it shows 500 connections to 0.0.0.0 (or default route).
I contacted my hosting provider and they explained it is due to customers code. I.e. they reference urls via domain httpwwwdomaincom/something.html vs directory structure ie /home/public_html/something.html. Personally, I dont think this is the reason for the server crashing. There is no way to make... - [ Read more] |
Apache cutting off downloads? September 1, 2008 07:01:19Ive just moved over from a VPS to a dedicated server, however, users have been reporting a weird issue with large downloads.
Basically, they say that downloads just get cut off after a while. I have a bad connection, so unfortunately, cant test this myself. But Im still puzzled as to the possible source.
So far, this is all Ive managed to gather:
- affects both static files and output from dynamic scripts (probably an Apache issue)
- doesnt appear to do... - [ Read more] |
