Well what in the creation of cats is going on with me and secondhand hardware of late, or any hardware to that matter.

I collected my HD3870X2 on Monday (purchased as a used item on ebay).

so my friend unv_annihilator (hes having problems confirming the email he was sent so he cant post yet) is having a problem with ati tool.
recently he installed vista, and while i was showing him how to oc his computer in different places (cpu, gpu), i told him to download rivatuner and ati tool. when he ups the clocks in riva tuner i told him to run ati tool and check his temps while it was running. only problem is that he cant scan for artifacts because he gets an error,... - [

We upgraded to 8.5 and began having issues with our backups. I attempted the upgrade to 8.6 today, however the issue persists.

i need to backup windows, linux computers to linux computer.
ive been backing up only linux so far, using rsync on crucial folders, but this way i still have to waste time by reinstalling os, compiling packages, waste time on qmail, making sure everything works, no libraries problems etc.
what do you guys backup and using which software ? do you backup /bin /usr /lib /boot /etc /misc .. too ? or maybe just whole drive & and you keep same types of drives, even when they... - [

I just moved my web server from ISP A to ISP B. There is one thing confusing me.
My real time bandwidth in ISP A shows 1M-1.5M bit per second at peak time before I moved, but after moving, my real time bandwidth report in ISP B shows 5M-7M bit per second. I dont think my traffic grows so fast in just 2 days. After talked to the technician, I realize my monthly bandwidth now grows to about 2000G based on my situation.
