Uniques per month: 8,000-12,000
Page views: 20,000 -25,000

Online Registration script March 31, 2008 01:44:31Hi all. Im in kind of a bind and needed some help.
Does anyone have a resource they can recommend for free scripts (PHP/MySQL)?
My boss took on a design of a site for a client.
The Client wants to have a list of classes they offer. Right now, they are having to get customers wanting to sign up by phone and maintaining a list by hand.
They want something like this online, and as quickly as possible as they are getting bombarded with... - [ Read more] |

The CPanel shared hosting packages with addon domains Ive tried are too restrictive but I dont need all the reseller stuff (I dont think).

layout in ie6/7 on windows March 30, 2008 22:22:46Hey, Guys!
I develop on a macbox and its very hard for me to test on ie6/7. I use browsershots to get screenshots and see how everything looks, but ie always frustrates me. On all CSS compliant browsers, my layouts display correctly, but I can never figure out how to fix it on ie without breaking it on the css compliant browsers.
Any help with my current w.i.p.? Its supposed to have a large black bar across the top, followed by a two-tone black/gray bar for site... - [ Read more] |

Fed Up with IXWebhosting March 30, 2008 19:08:19So I got duped.. I had no idea that the hosting review places could not be trusted. And since all the companies on there had values of $3-$6 I thought that was the average price for hosting. I have not had the energy to move my shopping cart and SSL for the last 2 years but I will next month. Im just done. I never get any help with issues on livechat, tickets are pretty much useless as well. I wind up calling the only American help and get put on hold for almost an hour. My SQL... - [ Read more] |
Siteuptime vs. Hyperspin March 30, 2008 19:07:41I have been using siteuptime.com and they seem to be working well, but since I do a content check (making sure vBulletin and MySQL are working) and I want two minute checks, I pay two extra $5 charges, so it comes out to $15 to check my one site.
I read about hyperspin the other day and they do 2 minute checks (with content check - looking for keywords on page) for around $5 a month.
So, from a cost perspective hyperspin is a third of the cost of siteuptime... - [ Read more] |

hosting forums off-site? March 30, 2008 15:18:10Im currently starting a new web site and would like to offer a support forum. Im hosting the small, mostly informational, web site myself, but Im not sure whats required to host my own forums. I have very, very basic IIS experience. The forums would be very low use.
So:
1 - Should I investigate hosting my own forums? Are there any very inexpensive or free, but decent, forum software available? Something easy for a newb to install?
2 - Would it... - [ Read more] |

We are also looking at an identical machine from steadfast networks. Ive done some research on both companies and they seem pretty equal. We havent had any issues with 1and1 , just curious if you guys had any experience with the both of them and could steer us to... - [ Read more] |
