How much bandwidth do you think I need?
March 31, 2008 02:08:17This amount of traffic is new to me so I havent a clue as to how much bandwidth I will need - something I need to get an idea of when getting my new webhost. I know 10GB bandwidth per month is not enough though.

1. I want to start a forum and download zone.
Am Expecting a 1000 members within a month and grow to 5000 in few months. With at least 50 Active members in a month and growth.
2. I need high bandwidth, as we will provide Sony Ericsson firmwares for download, Along with tools/softwares to Flash The SE phone. Also we will provide user generated content like themes, wallpapers for SE phones.

How often do you update your websites?
August 31, 2007 20:35:24I often wonder how often other web hosts update their websites. We update about every six months.
Graphic touch ups, integrations and the like being performed. Its just general improvement/security updates.
Do any other hosts update this often?

How To Secure a VPS That Has Been Compromised

I have a VPS that has been compromised. They have done a lot of things to it. Send spam, create phishing site ( i have neutralize it of course)
But Im sick of it. When I delete it, they will upload a new one.
I follow and ask my admin to secure the server according to the thread in the VPS section when it is initially setup.
Now due to temporary security measure a lot of my script give 500 error.

July 30, 2008 05:48:14How can you tell how many VPSs you can host on one server? Like say maybe the dedicated has the follow stats.
Processor : Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
Bandwidth : 800GBs
RAM : 2.5GBs
Hard Drive : 160GBs
IP Addresses : 2
And how did you come up with how many VPSs could fit on that server?

How to update 101 files that are equal at once?
