Addon Domains and Subdomains
August 20, 2008 15:10:57Hello. I have a main domain "main.com" and when I make a new addon domain "new.com", it creates a new DNS Zone for "new.com" but also adds a subdomain DNS entry to main.com "new.main.com".
I know that is very typical way that cpanel works, and I know there are ways to work around this by using .htaccess.

Advantages of VPS?
August 16, 2008 13:51:19At the moment I am on a reseller so I can manage the couple of websites I own and host a couple of friends. However, would I be better off with a VPS?
Would I still have an INODE limit?
Would I be able to remove DNS settings as I keep having to ask my host to do this for me so I can create an account in WHM.

August 19, 2008 19:19:06I have been in this business for many years, and I have concluded that there are ways to make both hosts and clients lives easier. Here is my list:
1) Buy your own domain name. This allows you to switch hosts easilly. Also, hosts often require proof of identity when you ask them to do things to your domain. A delinquent host can cause you to lose your domain name.

Any shared server that allows TORRENTFLUX?

I am looking for a shared hosting that will allow me to run torrentflux on it. It is a simple script that downloads torrents to the server, it is not a TORREN TRACKER. Also the server and script will be only used personally. Meanning i will be the only one using it, and it will be private, meaning no traffic.
