Anyone Remember the Mission April 28, 2011 18:19:26Doubt if many have it marked on their calendars, probably dont want to be reminded that some 70plus% supported it and the drum beating from Washington and the Media outlets, all of them!
But Greg Mitchell over at The Nation would like to remind everyone that an important anniversary approaches, everyone outside of those who serve us and their families, you know, the ones the Country has yet to Sacrifice for and few even Demanding they do.

Cardinal George fires Fr. Pfleger - April 28, 2011 14:33:54Cardinal George offered a post as president of a nearby high school to Father Michael Pfleger who has been at St. Sabina for 30 years. St. Sabina is a black church on the south side of Chicago. (For those of you who dont know - Pfleger is a visible - very visible - outspoken critic of those in power - including the Church and the Daley and Bush administration. My Little Town 20110427: Perilee and Sarge Wilson April 28, 2011 00:24:40Those of you that read this irregular regular series know that I am from Hackett, Arkansas, just a mile of so from the Oklahoma border, and just about 10 miles south of the Arkansas River. It was a redneck sort of place, and just zoom onto my previous posts to understand a bit about it.
I never write about living people except with their express permission, but since these folks are long gone, they are fair game. They were actually very nice folks, but had some... - [Read more] |

All in all Id rather have been a judge than a miner. And what is more, being a miner, as soon as you are too old and tired and sick and stupid to do the job properly, you have to go. Well, the very opposite applies with the judges. ~~ Read more] |
moving hurricanes--I need advice April 27, 2011 02:09:13I need help and advice. I am more than 50% certain that I can affect the intensity and direction of hurricanes. I believe I have done so, multiple times over a period of three years. And possibly saved thousands of lives.
This is the problem: I do acknowledge that there can be extremely dangerous consequences to "messing with Mother Nature", and Im worried that Ill make a disastrous mistake somewhere along the line. I do have a college degree (computer... - [Read more] |
Good Bye, Sarah Jane Smith 20110423 April 24, 2011 00:12:49Most of you that read my posts know that I am an avid fan of Doctor Who. I am not ashamed of that at all, and like the new ones very much, but they are not anything like the classic ones that ran from 1963 to around 1980 or so. Those ones had the classic Doctors, Hartnell, Throughtan, Pertwee, and especially Baker.
They all had companions. I liked lots of them, Jamie, Granddaughter (Susan, and they still have not explained that companion, his first, from 1963!). But... - [Read more] |
