Blu-ray Sales Down May 1, 2008 02:17:02A recent report from ABI Research noted that many consumers simply don’t see the picture quality difference between a Blu-ray movie and a standard DVD. Overall, consumers also don’t see a need for change at the moment. According to NPD Group sales are down as well.
From January to February Blu-ray standalone player sales fell 40 percent. It seems standard DVD player sales are still doing well despite Blu-ray winning the format war against HD-DVD.
