England: MPs announce firearms investigation July 23, 2010 09:21:49Laws on gun control are to be investigated by the Home Affairs Select Committee following recent high profile fatal shootings.
The committee will examine the extent to which legally held guns are used in crime and whether licensing rules are adequate.

Federal Judge upholds D.C. gun control laws March 29, 2010 09:27:44Judge Ricardo Urbina of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Friday that the Washington, D.C., firearm ordinances enacted after the Supreme Courts D.C. v. Heller decision in 2008 "permissibly regulate the exercise of the core Second Amendment right to use firearms for the purpose of self defense in the home."
