Rescued Dog Gets Paw Prosthetic July 19, 2008 05:01:00A Saluki dog was rescued in the desert of Kuwait a year ago by PAWS, or Protecting Animal Welfare Society. She was in bad shape, with her left hind foot missing, with another leg broken, and suffering from starvation. Thanks to PAWS, this dog now has a chance at life, and a loving home in the USA. PAWS volunteers had to give her food, laced with sedatives, in order to slow her down enough to catch her. This dog was flown for treatment to an orthopedic veterinarian, Dr. Erick Egger, at... - [Read more] |
Slentrol : Weight Loss Drug for Dogs July 11, 2008 05:15:00Slentrol, a wonder drug for dog obesity? I just came across a glowing review of Slentrol, a diet pill for dogs, that smelled a lot like an ad. It claimed Slentrol is the newest drug to control weight in dogs, and is approved by the FDA. You can give this diet pill to your dog, it will reduce their appetite, and they will lose about 3% of their body weight every month. If your dog weighs 50 lbs., that is 1.5 lb. weight loss every month, or 18 lbs. in a year. Sounds great, being overweight... - [Read more] |
Spell for Djinn Dog Possession March 31, 2008 04:28:00Has your dog been misbehaving? The most logical explanation is that he is possessed by a Jenni. According to the Quran Sura 72, jinns can take on the form of both humans and animals. It is altogether possible for these mischievious jinns to possess dogs. Not a desirable situation, yet jenni possession in dogs can be addressed with a simple spell. In the meantime, try not to worry as the majority of the Djinn are relatively harmless.
Spells are usually the most fun on a full... - [Read more] |
Stolen Dog Found on Craigs List July 8, 2008 05:49:00Cordell and Cori Hazard from Spanaway, WA. came home to find there two dogs missing. Either their house had been broken into, or the dogs had somehow figured out how to open the front door. They immediately began searching the neighborhood for their pug "Samson" and their Great Dane "Baby". The Hazards contacted the Humane Society, and put out a missing dog ad on Craigs List, all with no luck.
One month after the dogs were missing, Cori Hazard happened to be browsing on Craigs... - [Read more] |

Why I Dont Like Commercial Dog Food August 31, 2008 03:29:00Many of us are concerned over the quality of commercial pet foods. These commercial pet foods are made with about 55% grain, which is not easily digestible for dogs, and is in fact an unnatural diet for dogs. In addition, commercial dog food is heat processed at such a degree that it kills all the vitamins. They do add synthetic vitamins to compensate for all the nutrients that were destroyed during heat processing, but is it really the same? Commercial pet foods are made with profit in... - [Read more] |
Xylitol (sugar free gum) Deadly to Dogs July 24, 2008 02:37:00Xylitol, which is a sugar substitute in sugar free gum, is deadly to dogs. Xylitol can be found in sugar free gum, cough lozenges, candy, and oral health products. If your dog ingests xylitol, they must go to emergency immediately. A small dog could die from ingesting two sticks of sugar free gum with xylitol, a larger 65 pound dog could die from 8-10 pieces of gum. Within 30 minutes of ingestion, the blood sugar will drop dramatically, and the dog will begin to suffer irreversible liver... - [Read more] |
