President denies stepping down – says all news are rumors

Islamabad: The news of the President of Pakistan stepping down from his position spread like fire after some TV news channels started to air news and discussion in the early hours of the day on Thursday. The news had its effects on the public sentiments and the commercial life of the country. The Karachi Stock Exchange lost 500 points in the first half of the trading session. The denial from the government quarters helped in restoring some sense in political, industrial and commercial sectors.

Friends stabbed A.Q. Khan – Pakistan Nuclear scientist speaks about his confession

Islamabad: During his first detailed interview with the correspondent of the daily Dawn, Pakistan’s all time famous nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan said that confession was his mistake. He was assured by his friends that nothing will go wrong if he reads the already scripted content. His friends PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Senator S. M. Zaffar had assured that no harm will come to him. He added that he had not read the pre written script and would have spoken his own words things would have been different.

Replying to a question Dr. A Q. Khan said ‘I was not a part of any illegal or unauthorized deal in any way”

Protest at Karachi Stock Exchange hampers trading session

Karachi: The trading session of the day started with a sharp decline of 500 points. The political uncertainty and the news of president resigning was the key issue that resulted in the sharp fall. The small investors and traders staged a peaceful protest session and demanded closure of the Stock Exchange. The stocks regained there position after mid day and recovered from the jolt.

Military rule responsible for ailing condition of the country - Says Pakistan’s PM

Islamabad: Calling the union of the military rulers, politicians, bureaucrats and the elite members of the civil society an “unholy alliance” the Prime Minister of Pakistan shed his concern over the ailing condition of the country. He said that army, an institution which was looked upon with love and affection by the people of the country is now look at with hatred as the army leaders, self motivated political leaders and government dignitaries isolated the people of the country, disintegrated the constitution and instead of providing relief to the people of the country, they have been the major cause of gloomy state of affairs of the country.

Stock Exchange trading session closes with minor fall of 19.93 points

Karachi: After a massive fall of 500 points at the beginning of the days trading session that stocks staged recovery. The trading ended with a minor loss of 19.93 points.
