Title:Crossing the Line of Neighborhoods - http://politicsfortherestofus.blogspot.com/2007/09/crossing-line-of-neighborhoods.html
Description:Growing up in Yonkers, NY, I thought I knew my way around bad neighborhoods and had survived the Bronx. But I have to say that I am disgusted by Hartford , CT. This city is more disgusting in terms of crime and people than the South Bronx and Hunts Point. After dark, be sure not to even go down one wrong street, because if you do, you do so at your own peril. This is the case in many cities around the nation, and it needs to end. The drugs and degenerates must be cleaned up. The irony of Hartford is its very close neighbor, West Hartford. When you cross Prospect Street, you enter a new world. Quite safe little streets as opposed to large men smoking Crack and looking for money. Rich, elite people want to let these unfortunate ghetto-dwellers roam the streets unchecked. But God forbid one of them wanders into their safe, little insulated world. We need to toughen up by means of common sense. This problem will not go away.
